Israeli Startup HydroSight Raises $5 Million for Underwater AI
Israeli startup HydroSight has secured $5 million in funding to advance its artificial intelligence platform for analyzing underwater seabed data. Founded in late 2025 by CEO Tomer Adler, CTO Haitham Azzi, and COO Chen Megira, the company leverages the founders' expertise in marine environments and ship operations. HydroSight currently employs five people and has recently emerged from stealth mode.
The platform integrates and analyzes vast amounts of marine survey data from various sources and time periods to provide an updated picture of the seabed's condition. This aims to accelerate the detection of changes and reduce reliance on manual inspections, which require specialized expertise. The seabed is a dynamic environment, subject to changes from currents, human activity, and natural factors, making accurate data crucial for marine infrastructure projects like cable laying and facility construction.
HydroSight's technology transforms marine survey data into continuously analyzable information, identifying areas with changes or unusual patterns. This allows infrastructure operators to focus inspection and maintenance efforts on areas needing the most attention. The company targets sectors including ports, energy, telecommunications cables, and general marine infrastructure.
HydroSight has already begun working with operators of marine infrastructure in Israel and abroad, utilizing real-world data. The new funding will be used to expand the team, enhance AI and data analysis capabilities, accelerate business development, and penetrate international markets. This initiative reflects a growing trend of using AI to monitor challenging environments, with intelligent systems capable of processing and comparing large datasets over time to detect subtle changes.
