Gaza Conflict: Israeli Strikes Kill 3, Injure Others; Building Collapse Injures Children
Three Palestinians were killed and others, including women, were injured in Israeli strikes and shelling across the Gaza Strip on Friday. Local sources reported the death of Karam Mosaad Al-Masar'a after being wounded by Israeli forces in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Concurrently, artillery fire targeted the northeastern area of the Bureij camp.
In Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, tanks and helicopters fired on areas east and south of the city, while naval shelling targeted the coast. Air raids also struck Rafah, and gunfire was reported east of Gaza City.
Separately, five children were injured due to a partial collapse of a residential building in the Al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City. The building had been damaged by previous Israeli shelling. Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, stated that rescue teams extracted the five children, who sustained minor injuries. This is the second such incident in three days; on Wednesday, 21 people, including 12 children, were killed and others injured when the "Al-Saada building" collapsed in western Gaza City.
The Israeli military actions are described as a continuation of violations of the ceasefire agreement.
