Girl, 7, Recovers From Leukemia After Intense Battle
Aline Bilu, a 7-year-old girl, has recovered from leukemia after a nine-month struggle. Her parents, Sivan and Eyal, shared their story on "Haolam Boker," recounting the moment they received the devastating diagnosis. "For two weeks she was apathetic, wouldn't move from her bed, slept a lot," her mother said. This unusual fatigue prompted an emergency room visit, where the family received the news.
"When it hits you in the middle of your life, you're not prepared and you refuse to believe it's the news," Eyal explained. "But the first second you get it, you just switch in your head, you immediately go to war." This rapid shift marked the beginning of intensive treatments at Sheba Medical Center, which demanded immense strength from the family during the hospitalization.
Following the arduous battle, Aline has begun her recovery and return to normal life. "Aline has returned to school, to second grade, to her friends and her teacher. She's really flourishing there," Sivan reported. The "Haolam Boker" program surprised Aline with congratulatory messages from several celebrities, including singer Noa Kirel, who called her a "champion" and a "hero."
