New Electric Car Sells Over 100 Units in Israel Within 72 Hours
The new AION UT electric vehicle has seen a strong launch in Israel, with over 100 pre-orders placed within the first 72 hours of sales opening. This urban and family-oriented electric car is positioned as a competitive offering in the Israeli market.
The AION UT starts at 116,990 shekels for the BEAT trim level, with the higher-tier VIBE version priced at 121,990 shekels. Elad Goldfarb, CEO of Orion Mobility, the official importer, described the vehicle as an exceptional value proposition, offering a no-compromise car at a historically low price.
Designed for the European market with styling from GAC's Milan design center, the AION UT features a 2.75-meter wheelbase and a spacious interior for its urban dimensions. It boasts a flexible cargo area that can expand to 1,600 liters with the rear seats folded.
Mechanically, the car is equipped with a 204-horsepower electric motor and a GAC Magazine Battery, providing a maximum range of up to 430 kilometers under WLTP standards. Technological features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air software updates, and V2L capability for powering external electrical devices.
The AION UT also emphasizes safety, with 7 airbags and advanced driver-assistance systems. It has achieved a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP under the 2026 protocol and a top score of 8 from Israel's Ministry of Transport. The vehicle comes with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the car and an 8-year or 200,000 km warranty on the battery.
