New Poll Shows Netanyahu's Likud Weakening, Opposition Bloc Gaining

A new poll published by the Hebrew newspaper 'Maariv' indicates a significant shift in Israel's political landscape, with the "Yashr!" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, emerging as the leading party with 23 Knesset seats. This places the ruling Likud party, headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in second place with only 18 seats, marking a new low for the party.

The poll also shows the "B'Yachad" party securing 13 seats, followed by "HaDemocratim" and "Yisrael Beiteinu," each with 9 seats. "Otzma Yehudit" garners 8 seats, while the ultra-Orthodox parties "Yahadut HaTorah" and "Shas," along with the "Joint List," each receive 7 seats. The "Zionut Datit and Identity" list obtains 6 seats, "Ra'am" gets 5 seats, and "Amcha Yisrael" secures 4 seats. The "Miluimnikim VeHaKalkalit" party, led by Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zelekha, also crosses the electoral threshold with 4 seats.

In terms of blocs, the poll suggests that the bloc supporting Netanyahu would receive 50 seats, while the opposition bloc against him would reach 54 seats. Arab parties collectively hold 12 seats, positioning Yoaz Hendel's party as a potential kingmaker with its 4 seats.
