Teenager Killed in Hit-and-Run, Driver Shot at Netanya Mall
Police are investigating a criminal incident that occurred early Friday morning at the "Village" shopping complex in the city of Hadera. An initial investigation revealed that the event began with a confrontation between parties, during which a 17-year-old boy was run over and later pronounced dead. Subsequently, a shooting incident took place at the scene, resulting in the vehicle's driver sustaining minor injuries.
Large police forces from the Hadera station arrived at the scene and began collecting evidence and investigating. Following an assessment of the situation, the investigation was assigned to the "Yamar" unit in the Menashe region.
Police confirmed in their statement that the background currently being examined is criminal and there are no suspicions of a security-related motive for the incident.
