Reunited: Two Rebbes End Five-Year Feud in Historic Reconciliation

After a five-year estrangement, the Rebbes of Nadvorna and Nadvorna Jerusalem met for a reconciliation meeting in Bnei Brak. The historic gathering took place on Thursday night during the Ten Days of Repentance at the home of the Nadvorna Rebbe.

The rift between the two brothers stemmed from a dispute over real estate and legal complexities concerning a plot of land adjacent to the Nadvorna synagogue in Jerusalem. The meeting was the culmination of extensive efforts by community leaders from both Hasidic courts to resolve the tension.

During the meeting, the Rebbes reportedly did not discuss the conflict. Instead, they engaged in a spiritual conversation, reminiscing about their late father, Rabbi Yaakov, the "Ba'al Ha'Baruch Yaakov" of Nadvorna. The atmosphere was described as uplifting and harmonious.

The Nadvorna Rebbe honored his brother with wine, and they exchanged blessings for a good and blessed year. The Nadvorna Rebbe escorted his brother to his car upon departure.

Key figures credited with facilitating the reconciliation include Chaim Meir Katz, CEO of Vizhnitz institutions in Elad, who acted on behalf of the Nadvorna Rebbe, and Yekutiel Yehuda Ganzel, who represented the Nadvorna Jerusalem Hasidim. Their persistent efforts were instrumental in achieving this significant outcome.
