Anan Khalaily Plays 62 Minutes as Crystal Palace Dominates Lech Poznan

Crystal Palace secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Lech Poznan in their opening Europa League campaign match on Thursday. Israeli player Anan Khalaily featured for 62 minutes in his first European game of the season for the Eagles. While Khalaily's offensive contributions were limited and he lost possession several times, he was noted for his solid defensive work, successfully tackling opponents and earning applause from the crowd.

Crystal Palace controlled the match from the outset. Jérémy Piño opened the scoring in the 10th minute after a defensive error by Lech Poznan's Teri Yegba. Chris Richards extended the lead in the 27th minute with a header from an Adam Wharton corner. Jørgen Strand Larsen converted a penalty in the 34th minute after Piño was fouled, making it 3-0. A fourth goal was initially awarded for an own goal by Yegba but was disallowed by VAR due to an offside call in the buildup.

In the closing stages, Lech Poznan were reduced to ten men when Radosław Murawski received a red card. Eddie Nketiah added a late goal to seal the 4-0 win. Despite the scoreline, the Polish team's supporters provided impressive vocal backing throughout the match.
