Anan Khalaily Plays 62 Minutes as Crystal Palace Dominates Lech Poznan

Crystal Palace secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Lech Poznan in their opening Europa League campaign match on Thursday. Israeli player Anan Khalaily featured for 62 minutes in his first European game of the season, delivering a solid performance.

While Khalaily's offensive contributions were limited and he lost possession several times, he was effective defensively, thwarting Polish attacks and earning applause for successful tackles. Despite his subdued offensive impact, Crystal Palace controlled the match.

Crystal Palace took an early lead in the 10th minute when Eberechi Eze capitalized on a defensive error by the visiting goalkeeper. The advantage was doubled in the 27th minute by Chris Richards, who headed in a corner from Adam Wharton. Jorgen Strand Larsen extended the lead from the penalty spot in the 34th minute after Eze was fouled.

Lech Poznan were reduced to ten men late in the game when Radoslaw Murawski was sent off. Eddie Nketiah sealed the dominant win for Crystal Palace with a late goal. The Polish team's supporters provided impressive vocal backing throughout the match.

Crystal Palace will next face Leeds in the league and then travel to Lyon for their second Europa League fixture on October 15.
