Anan Khalaili Celebrates First Premier League Win with Crystal Palace

Israeli footballer Anan Khalaili marked his first victory in the English Premier League as Crystal Palace staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Fulham 3-2. Khalaili played the full 90 minutes in the match, his first time doing so in the league, and was involved in the build-up to the winning goal.

Crystal Palace trailed twice during the London derby but managed to secure their first points of the season. Left-backs Tyrick Mitchell scored twice to equalize, and Jean-Philippe Mateta netted the winner in the 77th minute. Khalaili's contribution to the winning play involved driving into the box, with a potential foul possibly occurring before the ball reached Mateta.

Speaking after the game, Khalaili, who recently turned 22, expressed his joy. "Nobody knew I had a birthday, I didn't tell anyone, and it's very fun to play and win such an away game, a London derby, I couldn't be happier," he told Nivi Davrat, Sport1's correspondent in England. He clarified his role in the winning goal, stating, "There wasn't one, no. I was involved in the move, but I didn't assist."

Khalaili also praised his new manager, Jean-Louis Gasset, calling him a "good, excellent coach." He committed to giving his maximum effort in training and expressed optimism for future wins. Reflecting on playing a full 90 minutes, he admitted, "In Belgium, I would easily complete 90 minutes, today I was exhausted. It's very difficult, tough, but we deserved to win."

Regarding Crystal Palace's unusual scoring pattern, with all three goals coming from left-backs, Khalaili stated, "Their goal is like my goal. I don't care who scores, what's important is that we win. Soon I will score too, God willing."
