Dixon Mohammed Scores on Debut for Hapoel Afula
Dixon Mohammed, the younger brother of Maccabi Haifa's Ali Mohammed, scored on his debut for Hapoel Afula in their match against Kfar Shalem on Thursday. Mohammed netted the equalizing goal with a long-range shot that deflected off an opponent before entering the net.
The 13-years-younger Mohammed had been training with Maccabi Haifa's senior squad under coach Barak Bakhar, with the club monitoring his progress for an extended period. Approximately a week prior to this match, he was loaned to the National League team, Hapoel Afula.
Mohammed's initial connection with Maccabi Haifa began nearly two years ago, in July 2022. His brother, Ali, who is not considered a foreign player for the team, previously served as his guardian. During the previous season, Dixon trained with the youth team, which had a successful Champions League campaign, though he did not play in any matches.
