Maccabi Haifa Considers Loaning Dixon Mohammed Amid Manuel Benson's Slow Recovery

Maccabi Haifa is contemplating loaning newly acquired winger Dixon Mohammed to sign an additional foreign winger due to the delayed return of Manuel Benson to full fitness. Benson has yet to resume full training because of Achilles tendon pain, and the club hopes he will be fully fit by the end of the month. His slow recovery has raised concerns within the team, prompting consideration of bringing in another foreign winger as backup, though no final decision has been made yet.

Haifa plans to field two foreign defenders this season, which limits their ability to keep another foreign midfielder in the squad, including Dixon Mohammed's brother, Ali Mohammed. The club expects to make a final decision next month based on Benson's recovery progress. Currently, Benson trains separately and was expected to be ready for the Toto Cup opening match against Hapoel Haifa, but this is not the case.

Dixon Mohammed recently arrived in Israel but was initially ill. He is now recovering and awaiting medical clearance to begin training. He is expected to sign a contract with Maccabi Haifa in September when he turns 18.
