Northern Israel Air Raid Sirens Activated Over Suspected Drone Incursion

Air raid sirens sounded in several communities in Israel's Upper Galilee region on Tuesday afternoon, around 2:30 PM, due to suspicion of an enemy drone infiltration. The Home Front Command quickly canceled the alert, allowing residents to leave shelters, according to the IDF's press service. The military confirmed the early warning system was activated and is investigating the circumstances.

Unofficial military sources suggested to the media that the sirens were likely false alarms caused by a radar error in target identification. An interception missile was launched toward the suspected target in the Manara and Margaliot areas. Preliminary findings indicate it was probably a false target, though the incident remains under investigation. The IDF stated that the air raid sirens were activated in connection with interception attempts.

Earlier reports indicated that Hezbollah terrorists had launched an aerial object toward the Manara and Margaliot areas, prompting the IDF to intercept a suspicious target. No injuries were reported in that earlier incident, and the circumstances were being investigated. The missile threat alerts were linked to interception attempts.

Previously, air raid sirens had also sounded in northern areas near the Lebanese border, including Metula, Tel Hai, Kiryat Shmona, the Upper Galilee, and the Mevo'ot Hermon region.
