Fatal Crash on Ayalon Highway Claims One Life, Injures Four
A man, approximately 70 years old, was killed and four others were injured, one seriously, in a collision between a bus and a car on the Ayalon Highway near the KKL interchange. Emergency medical services, including MDA paramedics and doctors, responded to the scene. They found the elderly man in critical condition and, after extensive resuscitation efforts at Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital, his death was pronounced. The other four injured individuals, including a 69-year-old man with moderate injuries and three others with light injuries, were also transported to Ichilov Hospital.
Paramedics described the scene as a very severe road accident, with significant damage to the car, where the driver was trapped. Complex rescue operations were undertaken to extract the driver while medical treatment and resuscitation were administered. The injured were evacuated by MDA intensive care units and ambulances.
The police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. This incident follows another fatal road accident earlier in the morning on Route 310 near Giv'ot Bar, where two men in their 30s were killed in a collision between two vehicles.
