Daniel Theis Eyes EuroLeague Title, Tattoo With Maccabi Tel Aviv

German center Daniel Theis is aiming high in his first season with Maccabi Tel Aviv, stating that reaching the EuroLeague playoffs is the minimum expectation for the team. Theis, 34, joined Maccabi after his planned move to ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne fell through due to the French club's financial crisis.

In an interview with Sport 5, Theis expressed his excitement about playing for Maccabi, noting the passionate fan base and the city of Tel Aviv. He acknowledged the challenges of adapting to a new team and system but is eager to learn and contribute. Theis also shared that his family remains in Boston due to his children's schooling and their future plans to settle there after his career.

Reflecting on his NBA experience, Theis highlighted the work ethic of stars like Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum, which he aims to emulate. He described the EuroLeague as a more team-oriented and physically demanding league compared to the NBA, where individual talent often dominates.
