Hani Nachmias Gears Up for Hanukkah With Nostalgic Show and Fan Reunion
Israeli actress and children's star Hani Nachmias is preparing for the Hanukkah musical "Mutek Forever," which she describes as a "soundtrack of childhood for entire generations." The show will feature children's entertainers from three different eras, including Nachmias herself, Michal Yanai, Miki, Kogumelo, Kopiko, and characters from "Paw Patrol." Nachmias explained that the musical centers on a secret song factory run by her and Yanai, which operates a magical music machine. When a button is accidentally pressed, melodies go astray, and the characters must find a solution. Nachmias emphasized the show's multi-generational appeal, designed for grandparents, parents, and children to enjoy together.
Nachmias also revealed a significant public response to a new initiative inviting alumni of her former children's program, "Hani's Room," to a reunion event. A recreated set of "Hani's Room" will be built as part of the Hanukkah performances. Nachmias stated that thousands of requests have been received from former participants, primarily in their 20s and 30s, who are sharing photos and memories. She noted that while this indicates a lasting positive impact, she is not involved in selecting the reunion participants.
Nachmias reflected on the demanding Hanukkah schedule for Israeli children's entertainers, noting that she rarely celebrates the holiday with her own family due to work commitments, which have included various musicals and festivals throughout her career. The article also briefly mentions the passing of Miki Peled, founder of the "Festigal" shows, and the upcoming "Top Secret Festigal."
