UN Experts Suspect US War Crimes in Attacks on Iran
Human rights experts appointed by a senior UN body have stated there is a "reasonable basis" to believe the United States committed war crimes during two attacks in Iran. These attacks included a strike on a school in the southern city of Minab in February.
The international mission to Iran reported that its findings focus on two airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of at least 178 civilians, including women and children. The team also noted that killings carried out by Iran's own security forces occurred on a "shocking and massive scale."
Civilians in Iran are caught between "gross human rights violations and crimes against humanity by their government, and the deadly conflict with the US and Israel," the experts added.
