Resident Confronts Burglar in Bedroom, Forces Him Out With Knife

A resident of Givat Ze'ev confronted a burglar who had broken into her home and was hiding under her bed. The homeowner armed herself with a knife and demanded the intruder leave. The suspect fled the apartment, and security forces apprehended him minutes later.

The incident began when three suspects, involved in a car theft, attempted to evade security forces. After the stolen vehicle they were driving crashed into a bench, two of the suspects were arrested following a brief chase. The third suspect escaped the scene, broke into a nearby residence on HaRimon Street, and hid in a bedroom.

The homeowner heard suspicious noises from the room, entered, and discovered the suspect hiding beneath her bed. She grabbed a knife for self-defense, confronted him, and ordered him to leave. The suspect escaped through the building's elevator, with the homeowner escorting him out of the premises.

Security footage showed the suspect attempting to disguise himself during his escape. He entered the house wearing a white shirt and exited wearing a brown shirt, allegedly stolen from inside the apartment, to hinder identification. Security forces, alerted to the area, located and arrested the suspect.

Initial investigation suggests the suspect was part of a burglary ring that had conducted reconnaissance in the area to gather intelligence and identify targets. No one was injured during the incident.
