Netanyahu's US Trip Expenses Include Makeup, Hair, and Traffic Tickets

Hundreds of thousands of dollars were spent on flights and hotels for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visits to the United States in 2025, with additional thousands allocated for expenses such as makeup, hairstyling, catering, and even a traffic ticket within Israel. The data was released by the Prime Minister's Office in response to a request from the "Tzahalot" organization.

During a New Year's visit to Florida in late 2025, Netanyahu and his wife Sara stayed at the Four Seasons hotel, costing $10,000 per night for a total of $50,000. Their entourage of 43 people stayed in rooms costing $250 per night. The flight on the "Wing of Zion" aircraft cost $423,407.

In September 2025, a visit to Washington and New York incurred $359,281 for the plane and approximately $42,000 for a suite at the Loews Regency hotel. Other expenses during this trip included $1,200 for a makeup artist, about $1,500 for catering, $400 for car rentals, and $125 for a traffic report.

Further significant expenses were noted in other visits. In July, a stay at the Willard InterContinental hotel cost around $173,000, with an additional $520 for refreshments. In April, a three-day visit to Washington included $51,000 for lodging at the Watergate hotel, plus $3,036 each for a makeup artist and a hairdresser.

In February, makeup expenses reached approximately $6,700, with a similar amount spent on haircuts. Other costs included $4,800 for photography lighting, $25,000 for the Prime Minister's suite, $300 for laundry, and $500 for "smoking fees" in a press conference room.

Overall, data from 2019-2026 indicates that Prime Ministers Netanyahu, Bennett, and Lapid spent approximately 1.4 million shekels on makeup and hairstyling in Israel and abroad. Around 90% of this sum is attributed to the Netanyahus, with the highest single expense being $13,500 for a four-day visit to the U.S.
