Rahat Man Charged With Robbing Gas Station Attendant With Wooden Bar
Prosecutors have filed charges against a Rahat resident suspected of robbing a gas station attendant. The incident occurred on July 16, when police received a report of a robbery at a gas station in Rahat. A man in his early 20s was apprehended as a suspect.
According to investigators, the suspect approached the attendant with a wooden bar, demanding money. When the attendant refused or stated there was no money, the suspect entered the cashier's area. Surveillance footage shows the suspect reaching into the attendant's pocket and taking 700 shekels, as the cash register was closed.
Following the investigation, which included gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses, police identified the suspect. The Southern District Prosecutor's Office has now charged the man with robbery. The Beer Sheva District Court will hear the case.
