18-Year-Old From Rahat Charged With Robbing Disabled Woman in Beersheba

An 18-year-old resident of Rahat was indicted on Tuesday for robbing a woman in a wheelchair in Beersheba. According to the indictment, the incident occurred in June during nighttime hours when the suspect approached the woman from behind, stopped her wheelchair, punched her, and demanded her handbag. After she resisted, he forcibly took the bag and fled the scene.

Approximately one hour after the robbery, the suspect went to a bank branch in Rahat and attempted to use the stolen credit card. He was arrested shortly thereafter by Beersheba police officers. The indictment charges him with aggravated robbery and unauthorized use of a payment device.
