Two Teenagers Charged with Robbing Elderly Woman in Beersheba

The Southern District Prosecutor's Office recently filed charges against two teenage boys from Beersheba for allegedly robbing an elderly woman and her partner. The incident occurred in late July in neighborhood 11 of Beersheba, when the suspects reportedly followed a 75-year-old woman and her 80-year-old partner after the woman exited a store. The two teenagers, who at some point wore masks, attacked the couple and attempted to steal the woman's handbag, which contained over 150 shekels in cash, a credit card, a mobile phone, an ID card, a health insurance card, and a public transport card.

During the assault, the woman was dragged on the ground as she tried to hold onto her bag, which was eventually torn from her by one of the suspects. One of the teenagers fled the scene with the stolen items, later discarding the shopping bag he had also taken. The elderly woman sustained scratches and bruises on her back, wrist, and near her elbow, while her partner suffered injuries to the back of his neck. The prosecution's indictment details the violent nature of the robbery and the physical harm caused to the victims.
