Woman Gives Birth in Ambulance Outside Israeli Hospital

A woman named Kim Moshulam gave birth to her daughter in an ambulance just outside the entrance to Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus in Petah Tikva on Tuesday. Moshulam and her husband realized she was in active labor during a car ride and called for an ambulance to take her to the hospital. Upon arrival at Beilinson, the head of the delivery room, Maya Saglovich, determined there was insufficient time to move Moshulam into the delivery room. Three midwives entered the ambulance and assisted Moshulam in delivering a healthy baby girl weighing 3.56 kilograms (approximately 7.8 pounds). The unexpected birth occurred as the new year began, turning the urgent trip to the hospital into a joyous and surprising moment for the family. Both mother and baby completed the delivery with the assistance of the Beilinson midwifery team.
