Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting 13-Year-Old After Meeting on App
A 20-year-old man from Holon is facing charges of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy he met through social media. A statement of indictment is expected to be filed against the suspect in the coming days. The investigation began on September 6th after the victim's family reported the incident to the police.
The suspect and the minor reportedly met on the app "Bumble" and had met on several occasions. Authorities allege that during one of these meetings, they went to an abandoned building in Holon, where the assault occurred. The suspect was aware of the victim's age, 13, at the time of the alleged offense.
The suspect was arrested and his detention was extended multiple times by the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court. Following the gathering of evidence, prosecutors have now filed a statement of indictment, signaling their intent to formally charge the suspect soon.
