Massive Fire Engulfs Beitar Illit Industrial Zone, Threatens Businesses

Dozens of firefighting teams, supported by aerial units, are battling a complex, multi-front blaze that erupted in an open area near the industrial zone of Beitar Illit, a city in the West Bank. The fire, which spread rapidly, poses a significant threat to commercial and industrial structures in the area. Firefighters from the Judea regional station and neighboring districts, along with aircraft from the "Elad" squadron, are working to contain the flames and protect buildings.

Adding to the complexity, a secondary fire broke out near the city's entrance, generating thick black smoke that blanketed the surroundings. Police officers from the Etzion station have been deployed to maintain public order and manage traffic. Commander of the Judea regional station, Deputy Fire Chief Tamir Erez, described the situation as "complex and multi-sectoral with multiple focal points, under very high heat radiation that complicates operations." He emphasized that large forces are concentrating efforts on protecting commercial structures and urged the public to avoid the area, close windows if the fire approaches, and call emergency services immediately.

The industrial zone has been evacuated as a precautionary measure while firefighting efforts continue. The full extent of the damage is not yet known, but the immediate priority is to prevent further spread and protect property.
