Shufersal Wins Tender for Negev Commercial Center Project
Shufersal Group has been awarded a tender by the Israel Land Authority to establish a commercial, employment, and tourism center in the Ramat Negev Regional Council, near the IDF training bases known as "City of Training Bases." This project represents an investment of approximately 100 million shekels and is situated on a 20-dunam plot with an approved building plan for a 16,000-square-meter complex.
The center will feature a Shufersal supermarket as a anchor tenant, alongside various businesses catering to local residents and travelers on Route 40. The development is designed to offer diverse services, leisure, and dining options, aiming to attract residents of the council, personnel from the nearby military bases, and tourists heading to Mitzpe Ramon and Eilat, thereby serving as a significant local and tourist hub.
This win follows two other recent projects secured by Shufersal totaling 154 million shekels: a commercial center in the Havatzelet HaSharon neighborhood of Netanya and the Kordani complex in Kiryat Motzkin. The Ramat Negev project is part of Shufersal's broader expansion strategy, with the company expressing pride in the win and highlighting the immense growth potential of the Negev region.
Ramat Negev Regional Council head, Eran Doron, welcomed Shufersal's investment, emphasizing the region's growth potential. The development is strategically located within Israel's largest regional council by area, benefiting from ongoing infrastructure investments and presenting a significant opportunity for the region.
