Father Sentenced to 7.5 Years for Sexually Abusing Sons, Filming Acts

A father in Israel has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for the sexual abuse of his two sons, who were four and eight years old at the time of the offenses. The father also documented the abuse and sent the videos to an individual he knew online, who had falsely presented themselves as a 35-year-old woman named "Maria." In addition to the prison sentence, the father received suspended sentences and was ordered to pay 150,000 shekels in compensation to his children.

The case began in October 2024 when the father connected with Uri Alfi, who posed as "Maria" online. According to the amended indictment, Alfi encouraged the father to involve his children in sexual discourse and to record the abuse. The father filmed his eight-year-old son naked in the bath, committed a indecent act, and sent the video to Alfi. He later sexually abused his four-year-old son while the child slept, again documenting and broadcasting the acts to Alfi via video call.

In January 2025, Alfi informed the father that he had saved the videos and threatened to release them unless further sexual acts were performed on the children. At this point, the father refused to harm them again. The court rejected the defense's argument that the father was manipulated by Alfi, citing evidence that the abuse began on the same day the two men met and that the father did not have a pedophilic pattern. A victim impact report revealed emotional and behavioral difficulties in both children, with concerns about the future implications of the full extent of the abuse being revealed.

The prosecution had sought a nine-year sentence, while the defense requested five years. The judges emphasized the severe breach of trust and security the father inflicted upon his sons, noting that the children relied on their father in their home. Ultimately, the court imposed seven and a half years of actual imprisonment and additional suspended sentences, along with the financial compensation.

Uri Alfi, who impersonated "Maria," was sentenced last July to 17 years in prison for his role in the crimes. His sentence is not yet final.
