Tirat Carmel Plans Diverse Sukkot and Holiday Events

The municipality of Tirat Carmel is organizing a series of community events and family activities for Sukkot and the High Holidays, blending nature, heritage, creativity, and local culture. The festivities commence on Monday, September 28, with a community olive harvest at multiple city locations. Participants, who must register in advance, will receive a bottle of olive oil produced from local olives. Later that day, a festive olive oil fair will feature sales booths, olive pressing workshops, and children's activities.

Cultural events continue at the municipal library courtyard. On Tuesday, September 29, the theater group "Singing Poets for Children" will perform a musical show. The following day, a craft workshop area will offer holiday-themed activities, including making Sukkah decorations, origami, and painting.

A highlight event is scheduled for Thursday, October 1: the traditional Ein Karem march, starting from Haruv Street. Participants will enjoy drumming circles, musical entertainment, information booths, craft stalls, and food vendors. Shuttle services will be available from designated parking lots.

The event series concludes on Saturday night, October 3, with a large Simchat Torah "Hakafot Shniyot" (second circuits) celebration accompanied by music at the String Bridge complex. Mayor Dudu Cohen and Dor Elkalai, Director of Culture and Leisure, stated the program aims to connect nature with tradition, strengthen community cohesion, and provide accessible activities for all families during the holiday period.
