The 26th Tamar Festival, devoted each year to Israeli music, will open during the Sukkot holiday period at Masada and run from September 28 to October 2. Tickets are already on sale through Ticketmaster for 289 to 369 shekels.
The lineup includes Odeya, Ravid Plotnik, HaYehudim, Miri Mesika and Keren Peles, as well as Sarit Hadad, Ethnix, Jimbo J and others. The festival is known for unusual stage collaborations, and the opening night on Monday will feature Marina Maximilian, then a joint set by Mesika and Peles, followed by Avraham Tal, Mush Ben Ari and Ethnix.
On the second night, members of Funknstein, Dudu Tassa, Sarit Hadad, Plotnik and DJ Petra, Yonatan Schreier, are scheduled to perform. The next night will bring Berry Sakharof, Noga Erez, Odeya and Tuna, while Thursday night will feature Jimbo J, Liran Danino, HaYehudim, Ben Tzur and Eden Ben Zaken.
Sunrise shows will also take place on the summit of Masada. The first, before Tuesday dawn, will include Asaf Amdursky, Shlomi Shaban and Yael Kraus performing Haחלונות הגבוהים, followed on later mornings by DJs Mita Gami and Adam Ten, Giraffes marking 20 years since the album Gag with Micha Shitrit, and finally Tipex, Vini Vici and Darwish before Friday dawn. Additional open-air shows are planned in Ein Gedi and Neot Hakikar with Meni Beger, Gal De Paz, Alma Gov and Shazamat.
