The Magda Festival will return to the Megiddo Regional Council area on September 3 to 5, with a lineup that includes Noga Erez, Tuna, Berry Sakharof, Dudu Tassa, Hila Ruach and Balkan Beat Box. Daily tickets in advance start at 150 shekels, and a two-day ticket costs 330 shekels.
The festival will open Thursday night on two stages with performances by Balkan Beat Box, Berry Sakharof, Dudu Tassa, Hila Ruach, Yael Zellinger and Neshama, the project of Daniel Yitach. An after-party will run late into the night with Yonatan Daskal. On Friday, Tuna, Noga Erez and Sima Noon, who will host rapper Cohen, are among the featured acts. On Saturday morning, a children’s event called FestiMagda will offer workshops, stalls, circus activities and more.
Organizers say the event is placing special emphasis on accessibility because of the war and the sharp rise in the number of people injured physically and mentally. Orly Luria, the council’s culture and accessibility coordinator, said this year’s cooperation with the Shalem Fund and Knafayim Through Art will be integrated into the festival’s music, animation, art and installations.
Luria said the accessibility measures include a discounted accessible ticket, a support companion and a needs-assessment form, an accessible area with nearby parking, a raised and spacious accessible stage, technical solutions as needed, and equipment and guidance for people with hearing loss. She said a dedicated service team has been trained to ensure an equal, pleasant experience for everyone who needs it.
