Off-Duty Officer Apprehends Suspect in Haifa Robbery
An 78-year-old resident of Haifa was robbed of his mobile phone and wallet on Halutz Street in the Hadar neighborhood during evening hours. The suspect, a 40-year-old woman from Kiryat Bialik, fled the scene.
A police officer from the Kiryat Ata station, who was not on duty at the time, noticed the woman fleeing and suspected criminal activity. He pursued her and apprehended her a short time after the robbery.
During the arrest, the officer sustained minor injuries, according to medical sources. The police stated that they intend to request an extension of the suspect's detention from the court, depending on the investigation's needs and findings.
