Golani Reconnaissance Unit Completes Intense Training on Mount Hermon
The elite Golani Reconnaissance Unit has concluded its demanding 14-month training program with a final exercise on Mount Hermon, Israel's highest point. The training culminated in a three-week "Mas'am" (summary) exercise, designed with lessons learned from recent combat operations. The intensive program included a 130-kilometer solo navigation march and 32 individual, squad, and platoon drills. The final exercise began at "Area 100" and concluded at the summit of Mount Hermon, marking the end of the recruits' comprehensive preparation for operational service.
