Clalit Distributes Water Sachets Nationwide Ahead of Yom Kippur Fast

In preparation for the Yom Kippur fast, Clalit, Israel's largest healthcare provider, is distributing small water sachets, known as 'Mayim B'shiurim' (water in measured amounts), across hundreds of locations nationwide. These sachets are intended for individuals who require medical reasons to drink during the fast.

This initiative, a continuation of previous years' efforts, will see these water kits distributed from over 100 Clalit clinics and medical centers. The distribution points span the country, from the northern cities of Safed and Tiberias to the southern towns of Arad and Ashkelon. Major cities including Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Ashdod, Haifa, Netanya, Petah Tikva, Elad, Beitar Illit, and Modi'in Illit are among those included in the extensive rollout.

Rabbi Avraham Konsky, Director of the Haredi Department at Clalit, emphasized the organization's commitment to providing accessible and tailored healthcare services, particularly for the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) public during sensitive periods like Yom Kippur. He stated, "Clalit sees paramount importance in making healthcare services accessible and adapted to the Haredi public, especially during sensitive periods like Yom Kippur. We are committed to providing the necessary information and tools to enable everyone to observe the fast safely, while safeguarding their health. This activity is part of our ongoing effort to adapt services to the community's needs."
