Weissman Scores First Goal in Israel After Seven-Year European Stint
Striker Sean Weissman scored his first goal in Israel's Premier League on Monday evening, marking his return to the league after a seven-year absence.
Weissman, now playing for Hapoel Jerusalem, found the back of the net against Maccabi Petah Tikva. His last goal in the Israeli league was in May 2019, before he embarked on his international career.
The goal sequence began with Weissman making a significant move near the penalty area, heading the ball towards Omer Atzili. Atzili then passed to Tomer Yosefi, who had made a run from behind. Yosefi ultimately set up Weissman, who was unmarked in the box, for the goal.
This goal signifies Weissman's successful reintegration into the Israeli league following his time playing abroad.
