Maccabi Tel Aviv Ownership Dispute: American Owner Accuses Rivals of Delay Tactics
American businessman and Maccabi Tel Aviv co-owner Richard Deitz has issued a statement regarding the ongoing ownership dispute and arbitration process. Deitz claims that fellow stakeholders Udi Recanati and Shimon Mizrahi are unreasonably conditioning their agreement to appoint an arbitrator on the inclusion of Jason Levin as a party to the arbitration.
Deitz stated that his lawyer filed a new request with the Tel Aviv court on Tuesday. He argues that Levin is not a signatory to the 2013 shareholders' agreement and that Deitz has no contractual relationship with him, asserting that Levin is not a party to the dispute.
According to Deitz, the arbitration process has been stalled for four days due to this issue, which he attributes to the "stubbornness" of the opposing side. Consequently, Deitz's legal team is now seeking guidance from the court to move the arbitration forward.
