Shas Candidate Amos Dror Faces Challenge Over Election Candidacy
The "Atim" organization has filed a petition with the Chairman of the Central Elections Committee demanding the disqualification of Amos Dror, who is slated to run in the sixth position on the Shas party list. Dror also serves as the supervisor of the Religious Council in Haifa.
The "Atim" organization argues that Dror failed to resign from his position 100 days prior to the election, a requirement they claim is stipulated by law. Consequently, the organization is calling for his candidacy to be invalidated.
The Central Elections Committee will now be tasked with reviewing the petition and making a decision regarding Dror's continued eligibility to run on the Shas party list.
