Zichron Yaakov Holds 31st Annual Pre-Yom Kippur Blood Drive
Zichron Yaakov will host its 31st annual traditional blood donation event on Sunday, September 20, the eve of Yom Kippur. The initiative aims to alleviate the severe blood shortage often experienced in Israel during the holidays due to reduced donation availability.
This special tradition, now in its 31st year, takes place twice annually: on the eve of Yom Kippur and on Memorial Day for IDF Soldiers and Victims of Hostile Actions. Over the past three decades, thousands of blood units have been collected in Zichron Yaakov, saving numerous lives. For example, last year on the eve of Yom Kippur, 182 units were donated in Zichron Yaakov and 32 in Pardes Hanna.
This year's drive, a collaboration between the Zichron Yaakov Local Council and the Va'ahavta community, will run from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM at three locations in Zichron Yaakov: Ha'shmura Commercial Center (2nd floor, room 318, Va'ahavta community), Derech Sarah corner Derech Aharon, and the shopping complex opposite Zichron on Road 4.
Additionally, a blood drive will be held in Pardes Hanna at Beit Tavori 1937, also from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
