Ofer Sachs Appointed Director-General of Manufacturers Association
Ofer Sachs has been appointed the new Director-General of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, succeeding Robi Ginnel. The appointment was made by the Association's President, Abraham Novogroder. Ginnel, who had served in the role for approximately ten years, announced his resignation in April, two months after Novogroder took over as president.
Sachs brings extensive management experience from both the private and public sectors. Most recently, from 2019 onwards, he served as the CEO of the strategic consulting firm Herzog Strategic, advising companies and organizations on strategy and management. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2019, Sachs was Israel's Ambassador to Italy. He also held the position of Director-General of the Israel Export Institute between 2012 and 2016, and previously served as Deputy Director-General for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Sachs holds a Master's degree in Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
