Yakov Buzaglo Declares Himself Proud Leftist, Calls for Arab Party Inclusion

Yakov Buzaglo, known for his unfiltered public statements, has ignited a political firestorm with a recent Facebook post declaring himself a "proud leftist." Buzaglo asserted that a future Israeli government cannot be formed without the inclusion of Arab parties, even in the wake of the October 7th attacks. He emphasized that Arab citizens also experienced fear and loss, sharing the same shelters ('m"d') and suffering casualties, and argued that building the nation's future requires dialogue with them.

Buzaglo also called for an end to the divisive "Netanyahu or not Netanyahu" political discourse. He questioned the public's silence on other scandals, referencing "Qatargate," and demanded the establishment of a state commission of inquiry. He warned that avoiding such investigations would have future repercussions, stating, "What we don't examine today will come back to us like a boomerang."

Concluding his post, Buzaglo stressed the importance of future generations over election campaigns, noting that neither he nor Prime Minister Netanyahu will be in power forever, but their children and grandchildren will inherit the country. This is not the first time Buzaglo has courted controversy; he previously engaged in a heated exchange with Eyal Berkovich, claiming he was a superior football player.
