Israeli Arab Arrested for Inciting Murder of Lawmaker Mansour Abbas
An Israeli Arab man from the town of Kafr Qasim has been arrested on suspicion of inciting the murder of Knesset member Mansour Abbas. The suspect, 49, was apprehended after allegedly posting on Facebook, "Mansour Abbas, a pig son of a pig, it is a commandment to murder him." The investigation was initiated following a complaint filed by a Knesset officer.
The suspect claimed he did not intend for Abbas to be murdered, but rather to "hit him" or ignore him. He has a prior record of incitement offenses, expressing identification with a terror organization, and making threats. His detention has been extended until tomorrow.
