Kalkilieh Man Arrested for Inciting Murder of MK Mansour Abbas

A 49-year-old resident of Kalkilieh was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of inciting the murder of Ra'am party chairman and Knesset member Mansour Abbas. Authorities allege the suspect posted on Facebook, "Mansour Abbas, a pig's son, it is a commandment to murder him." The investigation was initiated following a complaint filed by the Knesset's security officer.

During questioning, the suspect claimed he did not intend to incite murder but rather to "hit him" or ignore him. His past includes convictions for incitement, identifying with a terror organization, and threats. His arrest has been extended until Wednesday.

This incident marks further incitement during the current election cycle. Last month, Mordechai Ben David, a prominent singer in Hasidic music and a former cantor and ritual circumciser for Avigdor Lieberman, attacked Lieberman over his stance on the Haredi community. According to a report in the Shtibelach group, Ben David stated in a Yiddish podcast interview, "They should have cut off his (Lieberman's) head instead. I hope he repents."

In response to the incitement against Lieberman, the Yisrael Beiteinu party stated, "The Ribnitzer Rebbe, of blessed memory, would be ashamed that his name is being used to spread hatred and incite murder against Avigdor Lieberman. This is a moral disgrace, 'Derech Eretz' (proper conduct) preceded the Torah!"
