Leading Rabbis Endorse 'Vehasereti' Charity for Health and Marriage Blessings

Leading rabbis, including disciples and family members of the late Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, have reaffirmed the efficacy of the 'Vehasereti' charity, a special initiative founded by Rabbi Kanievsky. The charity, which aims to provide health and protection from illness to its donors, has been endorsed by prominent rabbinic authorities who have declared it beneficial for health, protection from diseases, and even for those facing delays in finding a spouse.

Following the passing of Rabbi Kanievsky, his students and close family, alongside other leading halachic decisors, convened to confirm the charity's continued effectiveness. They unanimously agreed that donating to the 'Vehasereti' fund, which supports the sick, offers a unique spiritual protection.

Rabbi Yitzchak Zilberstein, Rabbi Shimon Galai, Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Klein, Rabbi Shmuel Eliezer Stern, and Rabbi Yitzchak Shaul Kanievsky are among the rabbinic figures associated with the fund. They have issued a strong recommendation, stating that contributing to the fund acts as a powerful advocate, ensuring that donors themselves will not suffer from illness.

The rabbis have also issued a new ruling extending the blessings to individuals seeking marriage, considering them part of the community needing protection and healing. They have established a new practice where a representative from the 'Kupat Ha'ir' charity will ascend to Rabbi Kanievsky's grave every eve of the new Hebrew month to pray for the continued fulfillment of these blessings for donors.

Furthermore, a special rabbinic court will convene on the eve of each new month to pray, following Rabbi Kanievsky's custom, that donors to the fund will be protected from illness. Regular donors will receive a special document bearing Rabbi Kanievsky's signature and details of the monthly prayers offered on their behalf.
