Thailand Cuts Visa-Free Stay for Israelis to 30 Days

Israelis planning a trip to Thailand should be aware of a significant change in entry regulations that took effect today, Tuesday. The visa-free stay period has been reduced from 60 days to a maximum of 30 days. This adjustment is part of a broader update to Thailand's entry policies, affecting tourists from numerous countries, including Israel.

The previous arrangement, which allowed Israelis to stay in Thailand for up to two months without a visa and began in July 2024, has now concluded. Travelers entering Thailand under the visa-free exemption will now only be granted permission to stay for up to 30 days.

For those who wish to extend their stay beyond the initial 30 days, it is possible to apply for an extension at the Thai immigration office. However, approval is not guaranteed and is subject to the discretion of the authorities.

Travelers are also reminded that a visa-free entry does not ensure automatic admission into Thailand. Immigration officials may request travelers to present a valid passport, accommodation details, and proof of onward travel within the permitted stay period. In some instances, proof of sufficient funds may also be required.

Furthermore, all non-Thai citizens are now required to complete Thailand's digital arrival card, the TDAC, before their arrival. This form requires travelers to provide personal details and information about their planned visit.
