Degel HaTorah Prepares for Elections with New Candidates

The Degel HaTorah movement has begun its preparations for the upcoming 26th Knesset elections. A kickoff meeting was held on Monday at the movement's headquarters in Bnei Brak, attended by the party's candidates and senior officials. Among those present were United Torah Judaism Chairman MK Yaakov Asher, MK Yitzhak Pindrus, and new candidates Moshe Rosenthal, Yehuda Weissfish, David Zaltz, David Ohana, and Eliyahu Brochi.

Also joining the meeting were Degel HaTorah Chairman MK Moshe Gafni and movement presidium member MK Uri Maklev. Asher and Maklev are concluding their Knesset terms as part of a renewal process initiated by Rabbi Gershon Edelstein, the movement's spiritual leader. The meeting also included Yitzhak Reich, Menachem Shapira, head of Degel HaTorah's municipal department, and Moshe Schiffman, the party's director.

The gathering took place after the United Torah Judaism list was submitted to the Central Elections Committee. During the meeting, the movement officially commenced its practical preparations for the election campaign and upcoming field activities.
