Classes to Resume as Home Front Command Lifts Restrictions, Except on the Border Line

Following Iran's announcement of a ceasefire, the Home Front Command said today, Monday, that a full return to routine and the removal of restrictions across the country will take effect tomorrow morning, except for the border line area. Classes will be held tomorrow throughout the country. According to the Home Front Command, the border line guidance area and the communities of Sufsufa, Miron, Or HaGanuz, Bar Yohai, Yesud HaMa'ala, Kisra-Sumei, Beit Jann and Sde Eliezer will move to a partial activity level. In the rest of the country, as noted, a transition to a full activity level without restrictions was decided. On the border line, educational activities may be held in a building or in a place from which it is possible to reach a standard protected space during a defensive alert. Gatherings and services are permitted outdoors for up to 100 people and indoors for up to 400 people.

The Education Ministry said that in accordance with the updated Home Front Command guidelines, studies will resume tomorrow in all educational institutions across the country and will be held fully, in person and in the education frameworks as usual. On the border line, as noted, studies will be held in a place that meets the defensive guidelines. According to the Education Ministry, regarding matriculation exams, there will be no change in the decisions already made for this week. In other words, in line with the minister's policy, Israeli students will not take external matriculation exams this week. The Education Ministry will publish an orderly notice in the coming days including the updated exam dates and the testing format for each subject.

Despite the change in Home Front Command instructions, the University of Haifa and Ben-Gurion University announced that studies will continue remotely tomorrow as well.

As noted, Iran announced earlier today that it is ending the attacks against Israel. The emergency headquarters of the Revolutionary Guard said, "We announce the suspension of the armed forces' operations, but if the aggression and wickedness continue, including in southern Lebanon, much harsher and more crushing steps will be on the way." According to them, "The firing at Israel was in response to the Israeli attack in the Dahieh."
