Father of Missing Woman Expresses Frustration After Police Meeting

Tsephie, the father of Haimanot Kasao, who disappeared 932 days ago from a reception center in Safed, met with representatives from the police and the Lahav 433 unit on Monday. He left the meeting feeling frustrated and concerned, along with Doron Hadar, a retired colonel who accompanied him and previously worked on hostage negotiation teams.

According to Hadar and Tsephie, the meeting was hostile and dismissive of the family's distress. Hadar contrasted the treatment with that of hostage families, stating, "All we heard was 'We know what we're doing, trust us.' I felt there was anger at our questions."

Tsephie expressed pain that in over two and a half years, no police investigator had presented a lead or inquired about potential suspects, reinforcing his feeling that the investigation is neglected.

The meeting occurred shortly after Shin Bet Director David Barnea confirmed the agency had begun assisting the police in the search efforts, a move approved by the government after a prolonged struggle.

Despite this, the Haimanot Kasao Return Headquarters is demanding intervention from the Minister of National Security, advocating for the case to be transferred entirely to the Shin Bet to change the approach and achieve a breakthrough.
