Teenager Arrested Trying to Smuggle Flares to Bloomfield Stadium
Police in Tel Aviv arrested a 15-year-old suspect attempting to bring pyrotechnic devices into Bloomfield Stadium approximately three and a half hours before the scheduled derby match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv. The arrest occurred on Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa as part of a targeted operation by officers from the Ayalon precinct and the Tel Aviv District in the stadium's vicinity.
The suspect was apprehended and taken to the Jaffa police station for further investigation. The Israel Police stated that they will continue to prepare for the match and will act decisively against any acts of violence, disturbances, or attempts to bring prohibited items into the stadium.
