Elche Prepares for Real Madrid Clash Amidst Relegation Battle

Elche, currently second from bottom in La Liga, is set to face Real Madrid on Tuesday in what is described as one of the biggest games for the struggling club. Elche sits in 19th place with only two points and no wins so far this season, while Real Madrid is in 12th.

Elche's coach, Martin Anselmi, discussed his team's preparation, stating he might not field only experienced players against Real Madrid, as gaining experience is crucial. He emphasized focusing on the present and selecting the best lineup based on current form and player load management, noting the team's disadvantage in rest days.

Anselmi also outlined his strategy against Real Madrid, suggesting that keeping possession of the ball is the best form of defense. He acknowledged the challenge posed by Real Madrid's strong offensive players, including Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé, stating that even if they neutralize some threats, others will emerge.

Israeli player Roi Rebibo is expected to be part of the lineup. He recently played the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Bilbao and appeared for nine minutes against Real Sociedad. Rebibo is anticipated to mark Brahim Diaz or Yan Couto during the match against Real Madrid.
