Elche continues to search for a left-back, having denied reports linking Héctor Fort from Barcelona to the team. Currently, the squad lacks a natural left-back, which may force the team to start with three central defenders against Deportivo La Coruña. The club has signed five players during the transfer window, including right-back Buba Sagnra for 4.5 million euros.
Financially, Elche earned 25 million euros from the sale of Álvaro Rodríguez and spent 12 million euros on new players. However, the club has not secured a significant replacement for Rodríguez, who transferred to Bournemouth.
