Weapons Seized, 22 Suspects Arrested in Negev Police Operation
Police forces in Ar'arat al-Naqab and Border Police conducted a weekend operation targeting violent disputes, resulting in the seizure of various weapons and the arrest of 22 suspects, including four women. The operation took place in the Ar'arat al-Naqab police station's jurisdiction.
During the operation, officers discovered a pistol and a magazine of ammunition at a concrete factory in the industrial zone. In a separate incident, nine suspects were apprehended for involvement in shooting and stone-throwing incidents, and an improvised 9mm firearm was confiscated.
Further searches within a residential complex uncovered an underground cache containing an M-16 rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, leading to the arrest of one suspect. An additional 13 individuals were detained for their alleged involvement in shooting incidents.
All detainees were transferred to the Ar'arat al-Naqab police station for further investigation. Police emphasized their continued commitment to combating illegal weapons.
